GRADE R - 3

Young children benefit greatly from the one-on-one attention they get from their parents in a safe, secure environment. The Habtech curriculum provides step by step guidelines which outlines requirements, tasks and assesments.

Subjects include:
  • English (home language)
  • Afrikaans (first additional language) - Grade 1 onwards
  • Mathematics
  • Life skills

Assessments are marked by our band of qualified teachers at the end of the grade. Parents fill in a daily activity record sheet to maintain and control the learners progress throughout the grade. Grade R is best suited for learners from the age of 5. Registration can take place at any time during the year, but the syllabus needs to be covered completely from start to finish.

TESTING AND REPORTING

Grades 1 to 3 Continuous Assessment and assessment exams at year-end. Upon successful completion a report is issued.

GRADE 4 -6

It is during this phase that learners adapt and a just very well with homeschooling and start working more independently. Parents manage this phase exceptionally well.

  • Optional: Portugese (second additional language)

An easy to follow grid outlines daily tasks and assessments required. Our teachers set and mark the exams and write the reports. Exams are written at mid-year and year-end. Registration for Grades 4 to 6 can take place at any time in the year - learners simply start from week 1 and write exams at three month intervals.

Grade 4 to 6 Continuous assessment and exams twice a year, Reports are issued twice a year and promotion upon successful completion of the grade.

GRADE 7 - 9

A more developed, more intense and advanced phase. It is a stage where parents succeed with the aid of extra teaching and learning material.
